The Bridge School

We understand the importance of working in partnership with parent carers and from day 1 we work hard to build positive working relationships with all families.

We understand that parent carers often feel they have lost confidence in the school system and need help and support to build their confidence again, to have support to know what to do next and how to best help and support their child with their next steps.

We will want to gain as much information as possible from you during your child's induction, this information will help us to ensure we are providing the right support for your child.

Our PFSA and welfare team work tirelessly to provide support, signpost and help our families in whatever way is needed. This can include support with:

  • Finances and budget management
  • Access to the foodbank and other support
  • Access to benefits and other financial support available
  • Behaviour management
  • Attendance in school
  • Advocacy and support working with multi-agencies
  • Signposting to local services
  • Strengthening parenting skills
  • Support with housing
  • Support with our PFSA Team

The support from our PFSA is confidential within The Bridge School, however any safeguarding or child protection concerns will need to be passed on to relevant agencies.

Day 6 and other statutory placements may be eligible for statutory transport, if you think this applies to you, please contact the school office who will be able to help.

Please contact the school office for support from the PFSA - Sally Rudkin.
